2001 - Perak Children Camp

 CHILDREN’S ADVENTURE & LEADERSHIP CAMP
Crystal Chalet, Teluk Batik, Lumut
25th to 27th May 2001
The Camp provides an opportunity for children from 9 to 15 years old to come together for personal development through experiential learning and to have fun during the school holidays. Through a series of outdoor activities such as kayaking, rock climbing and rappelling, flying-fox and jungle tracking, team-building and beach games, the camp aim to encourage and develop self confidence, and people skill through interaction.

Camp Rules

  1. Obey all instructions.
  2. Be punctual for all activities
  3. Once light off – no talking allowed
  4. Shoes must be worn at all times
  5. Always think & be safe at all times
  6. Keep a log book & record all activities
  7. Be in proper attire for all activities
  8. Be responsible for the equipment that you used.
  9. No smoking, littering, quarreling, fighting or bullying
  10. Do report to your instructor/teacher whenever you don’t feel well
  11. Do not leave the camp without permission from instructor/teacher.

Group separation and front loading

Ice breakers with Team Building Games - e.g. Acid pool, Sorting the Tigers, Log Crossing, Bells of Paradise, Trust Fall, etc.

Learning how to pitch tents.

Waiting for rock climbing and rappelling.


Rappelling, is the controlled descent down a rock face using a rope. Climbers use this technique when a cliff or slope is too steep and/or dangerous to descend without protection.




A flying fox is a small cable car, often propelled by gravity, and used as an item of children's play equipment and more rarely for other purposes.



Kayaking is the use of a kayak for moving across water. It is distinguished from canoeing by the sitting position of the paddler and the number of blades on the paddle.

Notes to Parents

1.    There are public-phones at the chalet.
2.    Please wrap all apparel in plastic bags.
3.    Have a personal checklist of belongings.
4.    Certificate of accomplishment will be extended to full time participants.
5.    Please mark your belongings, especially clothing for easy identification.
6.    Please inform us in advance if you require any special medication attention.
7.    All participants are to participate in all activities and have to stay-in through out the camp.
8.    Participants are encouraged to bring along cameras and snap as many pictures as they like.
9.    Leave all valuables at home, not more than RM20 cash needed, no need to bring own food as all meals will be provided.

6.    If you empty it, fill it up
7.    If you turn it on, turn it off

9.    If you sleep in it, make it up
